What You Will Learn:

This program prepares students to become apprenticed residential, commercial, or industrial electricians by building a strong foundation in electrical theory (DC/AC), blueprint reading, the Canadian Electrical Code, and essential safety practices. Students learn the proper care and use of hand tools, power tools, and electrical meters while developing practical skills in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical equipment and systems. Training includes extensive hands‑on exercises in motor control, cable tray, conduit bending, jobsite preparation, wiring methods, electrical prints, and installation procedures for residential, commercial, and industrial environments, equipping graduates with the knowledge and experience needed to enter the electrical and related trades with confidence.

    • in-school technical training required for Level 1 Apprenticeship
    • work-based training hours towards Red Seal Certification
  • High School
    • grade 12 credits towards graduation

This full-time (Monday-Friday) program balances theoretical knowledge with hands-on practical experience.

Pre-Requisites:

    • at least 50% in English 12
    • at least 67% in Math 11 (Pre-Calc, Foundations, or Workplace)
    • Physics 11 is recommended
    • be on track to graduate
