What You Will Learn:
This program provides comprehensive, hands‑on training in automotive service, teaching students how to examine, test, diagnose, and repair vehicle systems on cars and light trucks using modern tools and computerized diagnostic equipment. Participants gain practical experience working with engines, electrical systems, running gear, clutches, transmissions, steering and braking systems, as well as foundational knowledge in applied mathematics, safety, and general shop practices. Training takes place in modern facilities and includes a work placement that exposes students to real workplace environments, industry expectations, and professional standards. Throughout the program, students develop the technical skills needed for preventative maintenance, accurate problem‑solving, and effective system repairs—including work on electronics and emerging technologies such as EVs—preparing them for entry-level employment in the automotive service industry and progression toward industry certification (AST 1) through foundational coursework or a two‑year diploma.

- in-school technical training required for Level 1 Apprenticeship
- 450 work-based training hours towards Red Seal Certification
- High School
- grade 12 credits towards graduation
What You Can Expect:
Hands-on training in modern facilities, with a balance of classroom theory and practical work. Attending full-time, similar to a standard work schedule (Monday-Friday, 7:30AM-4:30PM). Students are responsible for arranging their own transportation to/from campus.
