What You Will Learn:
The Office Assistant program is an entry-level program for students interested in working in business offices. Students learn essential business skills such as business communications, computer essentials, office procedures, business math, word processing, spreadsheet and database software. Graduates may be employed as receptionists, file clerks, and office assistants.
What You Can Expect:
Flexible delivery provides students with options: 1) In-class, full-time. Students can attend classes online, with optional in-person days on campus (Vernon or Kelowna).
Classes run Mon - Fri, (8 a.m. - 2:45 p.m). 2) Distance education, part time. A flexible program that allows students to choose when to study and work on their courses. It's student-led and self-directed; students have an ability to contact the instructor for assistance or questions.
What You Will Earn:
- 16 grade 12 credits towards graduation (4 courses),
- Office Assistant Certificate (upon successful completion of the program)
