Prof Cook

Ideal Candidates:

    • Have genuine interest in the culinary arts;
    • Demonstrate good work ethic and communication skills;
    • Have the ability to work as a team, and ask for help when needed.
    • Are detail oriented, resilient and adaptable, and able to handle pressure
    • Have good time management skills;
    • Are Safety Consciousness;
    • Show high standards of sanitation and personal hygiene.

Help Yourself By:

    • Maintaining good attendance and keeping up with school work;
    • taking Work Experience at a related job site (a requirement for admission);
    • Enrolling in a trade sampler program;
    • Going on a related tour - virtual or in person;
    • Taking foods and math based courses.

Pre-Requisites:

  • C in English 10;
  • C+ in Apprenticeship and Workplace Math 10;
  • Grade 12 preferred;
  • Proof (e.g. resume) of at least three months of work experience related to the food service industry and a letter of reference from your employer;
  • Food Safe Level 1
