Ideal Candidates:

- Have genuine interest in the culinary arts;
- Demonstrate good work ethic and communication skills;
- Have the ability to work as a team, and ask for help when needed.
- Are detail oriented, resilient and adaptable, and able to handle pressure
- Have good time management skills;
- Are Safety Consciousness;
- Show high standards of sanitation and personal hygiene.

Help Yourself By:

- Maintaining good attendance and keeping up with school work;
- taking Work Experience at a related job site (a requirement for admission);
- Enrolling in a trade sampler program;
- Going on a related tour - virtual or in person;
- Taking foods and math based courses.

Pre-Requisites:

C in English 10;
C+ in Apprenticeship and Workplace Math 10;
Grade 12 preferred;
Proof (e.g. resume) of at least three months of work experience related to the food service industry and a letter of reference from your employer;
Food Safe Level 1
