SD83 Students Exploring Kelowna’s Okanagan College Next Month

SD83’s Careers Department is offering the opportunity for 50 district high school students to check out Okanagan College’s flagship campus on Tuesday, May 9th.

Okanagan College is opening the campus up for the district’s Grades 10-12 students for the full day to experience the facility and get a hands-on opportunity to learn about specific disciplines of their choosing. Besides a general tour of the campus, students will have a choice to explore certain faculties more in-depth: Trades, Dental Assistance Clinic, Therapist Assistant Clinic, Science and Technology and Aviation.

Due to various reasons, the tour is limited to SAS-Jackson, SAS-Sullivan, Educational Outreach and Salmon Arm Storefront students. Interested students at this schools are requested to pick up a permission form from the career coordinator at their high school and select a faculty they would like to explore.
