Massage Therapy Career Event Next Month
Here’s one session where you can rub out the knots towards a health care-based career.
SD 83 Careers and the Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy (OVCMT) are offering a province-wide virtual seminar on Thursday, November 27th to individual students and classroom teachers. The event is part of BC Career Education Week which runs November 24th-28th. A number of guest presenters will use the 75-minute session to explain their journey to their RMT careers, schooling they took and what they do in their jobs. An unlimited number of students are welcome to this event.
This session is especially geared for students interested in Massage Therapy careers, but it could also be of interest for students that are curious with other careers related to restoring the physical function and relieving the pain of patients such as Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Chiropractor or Acupuncturist.
Students that are interested in attending the event need to pick up and return a parent permission form from their school’s career office and then will receive a link to the event. If you have any questions about the event, please contact SD83 Career Education Coordinator George Richard at 778-824-1188 via text or phone or you can email grichard@sd83.bc.ca.
