Looking For A Job? Maybe A Career?

SD 83 Careers and WorkBC are hosting its first annual Job & Career next month.

This event will take place on Tuesday, March 11th between 9AM-2PM at the SASCU Recreation Centre in Salmon Arm. The five-hour event is geared towards all members of the public and any high school student that is looking for a summer job or investigating career pathways. Over one-hundred businesses, non-for-profit agencies, and post-secondary institutions from across the district and around the province have been invited to partake in the fair. At least one vendor from each community (Salmon Arm, Sicamous, Enderby, Armstrong, Sorrento, North Shuswap) will be offering work or guidance at the event. Students and members of the public are encouraged to prepare a resume for vendors as many exhibitors are looking to hire students for the summer. Students from Revelstoke Secondary and Chase Secondary have been invited to be part of the event as well.
