Hospital Tour in April

SD 83 Careers and Interior Health are pleased to host a full-day field trip event at Shuswap Lake General Hospital in Salmon Arm. The event will take place on Wednesday, April 9th.

The event is targeted specifically towards Grade 9 and 10 students interested in Health Care and other hospital-supporting careers. Money to fund this trip comes from a generous grant from the Province of BC’s Ministry of Education and Child Care. A maximum of 48 students and supervisors are allowed on the trip. The students will see 12 different career stations during the event including the following positions: Health Care Assistants, physiotherapy, pharmacy, lab techs, cardiology, imaging, foods, housekeeping, respiratory, unit clerks, nurses and doctors/surgeons.
