Building Students Knowledge of Green & Clean Engineering Careers

As part of a series of virtual seminars during BC Careers week later this month, School District 83, along with the British Columbia Institute of Technology, will be hosting a province-wide event exploring different “Green & Clean” engineering careers.

The event will take place on Thursday, November 28th at 12:50PM. SD83 Career Education Coordinator George Richard and BCIT School of Energy Development Manager Marko Vicic will conduct the session outlining the courses needed to enter post-secondary, various programs to apply for and the careers that could be attained in the field. Several engineering disciplines will be featured including mechanical, mechatronics and robotics, among others.

Students can choose to attend virtually themselves by registering and receiving the link at their neighbour school’s career office or there may be a teacher within the school that may wish to log onto the session for the whole class to view.
